Our Capital Developments team creates efficient, sustainable, modern healthcare and working environments for our major client, Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Through the planning and delivery of minor and major construction projects, our project managers plan and deliver the development of new and the refurbishment of existing buildings workspaces and departments.

Medical engineering

Ensuring patients safety

Medical engineering services are crucial to the day-to-day running of acute and community healthcare facilities.

Our medical engineering offering provides a comprehensive, cost-effective, around the clock service to our clients in the NHS and private health care providers, covering all aspects of medical device management from its purchase to decommissioning.

We achieve this by bringing together a fully-managed medical maintenance contracts service, a comprehensive medical equipment library and a highly-skilled team of medical engineers; all supported by an organised supply chain and store.

Our problem-solving team of engineers diagnose, repair and maintain more than 20,000 individual pieces of medical equipment each year.

The hands-on role, performed by our highly-skilled engineers ensures that the wide-range of equipment within our care, ranging from blood pressure monitors, to highly specialised and intricate equipment such as anaesthetic machines and critical care ventilators are working properly, and are safe.

It is this dedication and skill, that protects our clients’ staff and patients alike.

Property services

Enabling effective property management

Our Property Services team are responsible for managing more than 150,000 m2 of acute and more than 30,000m2 of community building space for our healthcare clients ensuring that all issues related to occupancy are managed in an effective and efficient manner.

The work performed by our team covers the end-to-end property life cycle working with clients from the identification of a need through the stages of lease negotiation, property or land acquisitions, dilapidations management and disposal.

With expertise in project management, healthcare building occupancy design and management and data analysis – our team research, manage and maintain a suite of property management information for our clients. This facilitates the submission of all mandatory reporting requirements, including hospital estates and facilities statistics and in particular ERIC submissions.

Our Property Services team enables our clients, as well as the wider Atlas teams to manage their functions effectively ensuring that they maximise the available space in their built environment and investment decisions within buildings are appropriately aligned.

Commercial and procurement

As part of our fully-managed healthcare facility solution we provide an end-to-end procurement management service from purchase requisition through to invoice payment relating to goods and services used within the facility.  Our management service includes the management of inventory and minimum stock holding levels.
